Sugar or "sucrose" comes from plant sources like sugar cane and sugar beets. This is the good sugar in which we add to all our favorite meal endings and in our hot drinks too.

Sugar, sucrose, white table sugar, which is stripped of all vitamins, minerals, fiber, amino acids and trace elements during the refining process, is pure sucrose. At 99.5 to 99.9% pure sucrose, it is one of the purest chemicals manufactured. Powdered sugar (10X) is only pulverized table sugar.

False. 10x confectioner sugar has starch added to it. Page 68 of your advanced baking book. I assume we're doing the same homework.

their all equally pure, it's just the size of the crystal, if you need powdered sugar and don't have any just put sugar in the blender, blend, mix, blend again. done
Additional Details added 3 years ago
i stand corrected they do add starch to powdered sugar and i knew that (10x is powdered sugar). so when you make your own don't try to store it as powdered sugar, you can still use it but moisture will make it clump, it's still good sugar
