Before we start I want to make it clear that I'm not a doctor and I'm not a nurse. As a woman speaking I know that you can take birth control pills for a number of reasons that aren't related to getting pregnant. You mentioned having bad periods and periods beginning at age 9. Lots of times doctors will put people (old and young alike) on BC pills for the sake of regulating periods and also in an effort to lesson the pain and symptoms. It doesn't always work for everyone and there's a lot of trial and error in that method. That being said, YES you absolutely CAN get pregnant while on BC pills. Nothing but abstinance is 100% effective. To lessen your chances of pregnancy, not to mention Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD's) you need to use condoms as well and it wouldn't hurt to also use some sort of foam or creme as well but you have to be careful that they don't interfere with the condoms. Unfortunately these days pregnancy is the least of your worries. I'm way more scared of AIDS, Herpies, and all those other "nice gifts" that you can never get rid of.
Sex is a powerful thing and once given it can't be taken back. Just remember that you're not only having sex with him, you're basically having sex with all his other partners as well. It's a scary world out there. Please be careful.
PS: Once a young woman (regardless of age) has her 1st period she can get pregnant. The pill is to decrease your chances of that happening, but if you're having sex, it is ALWAYS a possibility.
Kelsey, I wish I could help you with this. I think it's best, like you said, if other girls/women on here give you advice. I'm not familiar with this topic. I do wish you the best of health, and I hope you get the medical care you need. I'm sure someone will answer this soon. Hang in there, okay? Kyle.
No, don't misunderstand me. Don't be sorry. It's just that I don't know as much about this as the girls/women do. If I did know, I would have been more than happy to help you our, Kelsey. I don't mind that you put it, really. No prob. I just knew you'd get better answers from people like Jen. And it looks like you did get some excellent advice from her. No hard feelings, I swear. Kyle.
well when i went back to school i found out my ex wanted me bac and i said yes and ohh befor i forget this part i made a 107 on a test i study for like four or five days its so awesome
Congratulations!! So you're back together again with your ex. Good for you. I wish you both much happiness together. You really aced that test...good work! Must make you feel so proud of yourself, huh? Wow, I'm so glad to hear things are going your way. I'm really happy for you, Kelsey.
Ovarian cysts are common, but very painful. Sometimes it takes a while to feel better after a particularly large cyst is involved. Sometimes they have to be surgically removed. Your doctor is probably concerned that you have a process called polycystic ovarian syndrome, for which the best and most commonly used treatment is oral contraceptives. Sometimes, girls have to start at a rather young age.
Just because you are on the pill doesn't mean that it's ok to be fooling around. For that, you are too young. You have your whole life to be active in that way, so enjoy being young and don't jump into a sexually active lifestyle yet. The only foolproof method of birth control is abstinence, so don't think that you are fool proof. Also, sexually transmitted diseases are another problem.
Talk to your doctor and have your mom there to help you with this. Ask your doctor why you are going on the pill and what is going on with your body. The more you know, the better you will understand and be able to deal with your health.

I have nothing to add to what has already been said, however you have got to try and get out of your head that bad things always happen to you, its Negative!
If you think that way you will continue to draw the negative to you! I recommend a good book, written by American Author, Lynne Grabhorn.
