In my observation, wisdom comes from life experience, not higher education. On AP, I've noticed that the wiser people ask a better quality of question, and also answer questions with this same quality. Time and again this has been proven to me on this site. I've learned that "Wise" and "Educated" do not necessarily go hand in hand. It's what life lessons we bring to the table that count, and this rates high with me.
I asked what you learned from observing the Q's and A's on AP. Do wise people ask better questions and give better answers. You didn't answer the question.
It is not a coincidence that we need both better schools and more prisons.
Unfortunately, a person needs to actually want an education before you can give them one.
I have learned that an educated person can produce a quality answer.I have also learned that an uneducated person can put forward a Q and not receive a good answer which to me is a shame. If we are educated then what about the thousand's that never had the great chance for it as it was not available or unaffordable for the parents.I have learned to look at everyone's Q's even if they are in broken English because they are trying to learn a new language and are doing a great job of it.I have also learned that some of the AP members give these innocent people abrupt and rude answers and that is not very nice in my books.I believe everyone needs a fair go and I have learned that some AP members are just not doing that because they think the Q asker is thick or something. We all come from different countries and some have no education but they still are serious Q's to them and I respect that, and try to answer.
I don't mean education is the literal sense - I mean wisdom from life experience, and sharing that knowledge with others. It has nothing to do with spelling or grammatical errors, or whether or not someone went to college. Some of the best Q's and A's on this site come from people without college degrees. They are self-educated and are to be admired. On the other hand we've had some ridiculous Q's and A's from people with college degrees and those who claim to be honor students.
