I couldn't never say that the "Bible" (good book) is wrong..In my opinion, its those who teaches and interperates the bible or writes books for their own beliefs that followers would follow..

I am afraid your statistics are way off track. Forget them all and look at the Muslim numbers. It is the fastest growing religion and it's growth accelerates daily.

Mabelann, I think this largely depends on what is being referred to as "Christians". If we base it on the number of people claiming to be Christians, what you say of Christians increasing in number may be true. However, a lot of people may claim to be Christians but, sad to say, only very few practice being so.

This is my opinion: Being baptized, going to church, reading the Bible & claiming to believe in Jesus Christ do not make one a Christian IF he/she continuously does other things which are not pleasing to the Lord. On the other hand, if one lives a life of service, spreading love & joy to people around him, &, in his own little way, contributes in making this world a better place -- this, I believe, is pleasing to the Lord, & this, I believe can be aptly called a Christian, REGARDLESS of what his religious beliefs may be.

So, going back to your question, this, I guess, is probably what it meant by Christians being outnumbered & destroyed -- man will allow evil & sinful ways to take over, putting aside & eventually ignoring the "Christian" values he has -- something that's apparently happening to our world nowadays (rising crime rates, man's total disregard to life & the environment & high regard to worldly things such as power & material wealth, etc). I agree with Lizzy -- the Bible can never be wrong. But we must be careful on how to interpret it lest we become misguided. And the Revelations -- I believe they're slowly coming true now.

Organized religion has nothing to do with the 'evil' you speak of which will dominate the world. Greed, immorality, lack of empathy and criminal behavior is rampant in society and is not defined by religious affiliation or lack thereof. The 'evil' is already pervasive in today's society - so that would make the prophesy of revelations correct, wouldn't it? It's what you do in your own personal life which matters most - you don't have to wallow in sin just because others do. Worry about today, and the future will take care of itself. Prophesies are not necessarily truths - they are predictions which often come true. Keep the faith and live your best life.

I have been told that the Bible is the word of God and outlines His plan for us. The events outlined in the Book of Revelations would, of course, be part of that plan.
If you are successful in your attempt to prove wrong the Word of God, you realize that would mean you have proven God a liar, don't you? That is the last thing a Christian should be doing. It is a sin to presume to know the mind of God or to presume a right to alter His plans for us.
The endgame outlined by God in the Book of Revelations MUST play out exactly as it is written because that is the way God wants it. You don't need to actually force a change in God's plan (and, by the way, you can't. He's God.) in order to be guilty of a grave sin. Merely contemplating doing so, as you have done here, is sin enough in His eyes.
You should never try to force God to bow to your will. Leave God's plans to God and allow them to play out as He sees fit.
