why do fleas get on dogs when they have alot of fur but when dogs get a hair cut they stay away from the dogs?

The fur protects the fleas so they can live there safely and not get caught.If the dog has a haircut the fleas will still hop on but won't stay around as long as the dog can bite them and the dog owner can spot and remove them.

well fleas are attracted to hair but if you want to get read of them for cheap without having to cut their hair give them a bath with dawn dish soap let it sit for about two min. and then wash after that comb that should get ninty percent of the fleas away
