Homo/heterosexuality is not a choice. It just is. Homosexual men and woman have spent much of their youth trying to figure out why they were different from same gender friends. They don't just wake up one day and realize they are gay. It is a long, arduous trek. Once they have discovered why they are different, and learned the name for it, they need to interweave all the family morals, religious beliefs and societal rules and regulations that form their environment. They have to mature enough to understand the repercussions of "coming out of the closet" and wonder if they are strong enough to withstand the brutalities that the "normal" population will thrust upon them, for it surely will. They wonder how they will survive the overt sneers and the covert snickering, the vile words and even physical harm because they are simply homosexual. They wonder how they can tell the world that they pose no threat to society due to their sexual preferrences, or doubt that they should even try.
Homosexuality is, always has been and will not go away. It is not a perversion or an imperfection. It occurs in many species of animals we have studied and it appears that will stay with us forever.

Sexual orientation, skin color, eye color, right-handed, left-handed, whatever - you're born that way! We're all God's children. What we do in the bedroom doesn't define us!

A gay man can have a relationship with a woman and have children as he would love to have children,as much as anyone. And a married man who has never come out of the closet can turn around and have a relationshhip with another man if the right one comes along.

Homosexuality is like asthma. You never know what age you will discover it but it has no doubt been there since birth. And though it may seem like a problem at first, ya learn to get use to it.

I think i'ts more common for straight men to turn gay because they might not have found the right person yet. And when they do they never new that they were going to end up being gay. Some people are confused though. Specially in high school. I remember when i was in high school girls would just date girls because they "thought" they were lesbian then eded up married and with like 3 kids. My sister in law is a lesbian, I know her since middle school and never had interest in guys. I think she was born that way also.

Acceptance: Tell them they'll accept it if they're gay, and leave them in privacy
