My biggest pet peeve at work currently is that my boss will come in and ask me to call (or do something) that she feels she needs to explain the when, where, why and HOW of (like I don't know!). Anyway, the time it takes her to tell me all of this she easily could've done it herself. That bugs me.
When I used to work, what annoyed me most were the whiners - the chronic complainers. If they had spent as much time working as they did whining, they'd still have jobs!
Anyone who doesn't contribute to the job at hand, slacks off, and has a chip on their shoulder. They should be grateful they're working at all, not taking it for granted or bringing down morale. It's not always the boss. One weak link can make unnecessary stress for the whole chain.
I worked for a large American company in Alice Springs for 10 years. They had a new manager every year and the more staff they could get rid of the more money the store made.So the more money the manager saved gave them brownie points and they would win trips for their family to America and Disneyland and god knows what else. They had free housing and didn't give a stuff about the loyal staff because they were sent on a mission to CUT COSTS.It was heartbreaking to see. Before I shifted from the town the last manager had his wife working in the store and was having sex with a lady that worked in the same department ! My area manager wanted me to become a union rep so I was sent on a 4 day corse but came to the conclusion that nothing could be done.I tried but the unions hands were tied so I left the union as they were taking $7 a week out of my pay for NOTHING.
I work from home so what annoys me is when everything is clean and done with to the point of not being able to find myself/lol...all in all...to be honest...my job is never done...there's ALWAYS...ALWAYS something to do!
Having nothing to do! I try to find work, but most of the time I end up on here giving out advice! I cannot complain, because I am lucky enough to have a job
WHEN SOME ONE THINKS THEY ARE YOUR BEST BUD IN THE WORLD COMES TO YOU ASKING TO USE ONE OF YOUR OFFICE SUPPLIES AND WHEN THEY SAY THEY PROMISE TO GIVE IT BACK THEY NEVER DO AND THE NEXT THING YOU KNOW YOU ARE WALKING BY THEIR OFFICE AND YOU SEE ALL YOUR THINGS SCATTERED ALL OVER THEIR OFFICE AND YEARS LATER THEY NEVR PAY TO REPLACE YOUR STUFF OR EVEN OFFER TO REBUY IT FOR YOU. PISSES ME OFF.
