No thats quite bad. Think about it....... a teacher beating up a student. If children today told their parents that a techer beat them up in class they would get very angry and upset. They would probably go and tell the headteacher or the police and the teacher would get sent away and the child badly injured, missing out on a good education.
What??? Oh yeah, belting a student leads to more violence! Teacher's have no right to physically punish a student, that's why belts and straps were done away with. May the belt never be used again.
The standard is quickly dropping on AP today. If someone should take the belt to one of his children - would he feel the same THEN????????????????? Unless of course he belts them..
Teachers have no right to lay a hand on a child. Unless restraining an out of control student. Parents should be notified as to the student's behavior, then the teacher and parents can come to an agreement of punishment that does not involve physical abuse. There are better methods of controlling bad behavior than hitting or stapping.

There is no excuse for any kind of violence - FULL STOP. People who have to resort to violence are uneducated and ignorant.

If students behave badly in class, their parents should be told about their behaviour. Teachers are there to teach, and teach only. They can send the student home.

If any teacher laid a hand on either one of my children, I would take them to court for Assault.
