I was arrested, charged and incarcerated for credit card theft while working. After several months of court appearances I was finally allowed to view the charges against me. When I stated in court that I was working out of town 50 miles away and provided written proof along with a gas receipt with date and time, I was told they (prosecutor) had "eye-witnesses" and a video tape of me. After nearly 11 months of court appearances and constant pressure from the prosecutor to pay $231.71 (the amount of the credit card purchases) I was able to view the video tape. Not only was it grainy and impossible to make out clear facial features but, the person in the video was a foot shorter than me, wore glasses and was left handed! He also drove a dark colored car! I was told from the very beginning that the video showed me and a large white van (which I do own). They lied to me about this and once I saw the video and noticed the descripencies, they "nullied" the case.
