Although I live in the UK, this not an easy question to answer, virtually impossible! Accessories for the home, in fact, anything, is very expensive here and of course it depends on how much one can afford! As they say, you have to cut your cloth according to your pocket.

As in every other country, there are people here who can afford and do spend, a lot of money on accessories for their home, so I couldn't possibly guess the average. I have searched on google and, for maintaining their home, people in the UK spent on average, 6.6 Billion pounds in 2008.
