and why?
Based on attitude and results
I recently made a conscious decision to stay with my current (slightly) dearer electricity supplier because their call centre staff were so helpful and seemed to genuinely want to look after me as their customer.

I've never called them, they've called me - until I was getting so dizzy with it all! Usually they're such a pain, they just drone on.. but yes, a fuel supplier, I genuinely felt he wanted to help me and said to check out everyone first.. that instilled trust. I did.. and found another company suited to my area. Not many people instil trust in me when it comes to energy suppliers, so he was one I remember.
Well, Najim, apart from the first person, they're all a bit of a muchness really, all trying to sell!
I just found out who was cheapest for my area, I had jumped suppliers so much, it got to a point that I wanted to scream when the next call centre phoned me!!! I've even forgotten who I'm with lol!!! When i look at the paper shall let you know, don't know where you are but its getting so late here that i shall have to tear myself from this computer and go to bed!
sears service center. you had better know exactly what you want
with serial numbers or model numbers or you get "sorry i don't see that
in my computer"/ well can you just tell me how much a vacuum cleaner
belt costs? sorry sir.. if you had the number i would be happy to tell you..
and then if you do find the part they will charge you double the
cost that you expected to pay..
i bought a cordless drill for 20 bucks at a garage sale, minus the battery.
went to sears to buy the battery and they wanted 65 dollars for one battery.
i threw the drill into the garbage and bought a ryobe drill at home depot
with two battery's for 99 dollars and they had a two pack of battery's for
an extra 45. that is 22.50 per battery.. i will never go back to sears for
anything.. they lost my business..

i guess i got carried away off topic..the thing that kills me is every time i call to try to fix my computer, i get a person in India or Pakistan that will gladly fix my computer if i have the
original disk. if you hear this, hang up the phone quick..
what they are wanting to do is reinstall your operating system
and it will reset everything back to factory specs.. minus
anything that you have done up till then on your computer.
all the pictures gone..anything you saved, gone.. any programs you use,gone..and the best part is they will tell you that if you buy the platinum service PAC you can talk to someone in your own country.. gee thanks..
My experience of the Indian call centres is that the staff attitude and willingness to help is generally excellent without comparison but sometimes let down by lack of detailed product knowledge. Generally I find with UK call centres it's very hit and miss, you rarely encounter an agent with both attitude and ability. On occasions I've had to ring through to the US and found things much better, I think the Americans have a good customer service ethic. Or maybe I've been lucky.
thank you.. the last time i called i got a woman sitting in front of her computer. and i could hear the kids playing in the back ground.. i am sure that she was proficient in what she could read on the screen..
