empty contents. rinse with soap and water. rinse with clean water. dry
thoroughly. refill.
ok.. so lets talk about the salt shaker and what it is made of..
ceramic, metal, glass or other..crome can spot and this might be cleaned off with a window cleaner. same as glass. ceramic i wouldn't think you would have a problem with spotting..

After cleaning your salt shaker so that the crystals aren't plugging the holes, put a little dry rice in with the salt so that it absorbs any moisture that would cause the salt to block your shaker.
