Many oven vary in temperature and cooking times. The best way to cook a pork roast is to put it in a slow oven (about 350 degrees), and put a meat thermometer in the thickest part of the roast.

When the temperature is just about where it needs to be at the pork setting, take the roast out of the oven. Let it rest for about 10 minutes. It will continue to cook even after taking it out of the oven.

Usually, it will take about an hour to an hour and a half for a 3.5 pound roast.
