Amphibians and Reptiles are both cold-blooded vertebrates. Most species of both lay eggs, but not all. The most significant difference between the two is that Reptiles have well developed lungs that provide all of the oxygen/carbon dioxide transfer necessary, whereas Amphibians need their moist skin surface to supplement gas transfer.
