Most likely have to send it back to the manufacturer for movement replacement.

If the acid hasn't leaked to the interior parts and is only on the box and contacts.....1) if it is still wet sprinkle a small amount of baking soda on it (this will kill the acid)
2) take a q-tip or small rag and dip it in amonia or an amonia based liquid cleaner (some window cleaners) and gently rub the acid untill it is removed.
This is the safest and correct manner in which to clean up acid (battery) spills and leaks.
Wear gloves or be carefull not to get chemicals on your skin. If you do IMMEDIATELY rinse area in cool running water rubbing gently to remove it from skin safely. :-)
