Hershbergers is confused with other like problems, but the conditiion you mention (hopefully you got that diagnosis from an M.D.), is a bowel problem manifested by constipation which can cause severe pain and is not rectified by laxatives.
The problem is caused by a lack ok nerve, cells and/or muscle mobility in the bowels. The problem is usually rectified by removing the problem part of the bowel and reattaching the two good sections.
You still have to keep an eye out for possible future reoccurence of the symptoms.
