Okay. I have a bit of a problem. I am currently attending a decent school. It is about 3 blocks away. I've attended the school for 1 year being a freshmen. I kinda like the school however it could be much better. First of all it literally looks like a prision. The school is full of people who all act the same. Full of wanna be gangsters who tag everything.
Okay. I can handle all of that stuff but i was faced with an opportunity to go to another high school that is way better.
It is way better in academics, socially, and sports.
I have a neighbor that currently attends the school and i am good friends with him. He is the same age as me and also with the next door neighbor who goes to the same school as me and just so happens to be my bestfriend.
We all agreed to attend Chatfield (the good school i wanna go to) and even figured out the transportation. It was an okay with everyones parents except for mine. I cannot think of how i can convince them to go. I am a straight a and b student and i play foot ball as a quarterback and a linebacker.
I love to cook and i hope to go to college for it and thats one of the main reasons i wanna go to chatfield. They offer a culinary class and the school i go to now doesnt.
My parents think that it will be problems with transportation and there is nothing wrong with the school i am attending now.
I really want to go to chatfield.
How can i convince them to go.
Registration is starting soon as it is almost the end of summer.
Please help!!!!!!
Thanks
Simply tell your parents everything. Give them specific reasons why you see Chatfield as a better school than the one you're currently attending to. Emphasize to them how important transferring to Chatfield will be for your future plans of pursuing a culinary course. Since they pointed out that there may be problems with transportation, tell them that you already had this figured out & you have to show them exactly how you did it, for them to be convinced.
You seem to be a responsible kid & a good student, & your wanting to transfer school seems reasonable enough. However, if your parents won't still be convinced even after you have clearly explained your side, they probably have other reasons for not agreeing to what you want. If so, you may politely ask them why. Knowing their reasons may lead you to understand their point of view. Who knows, this might even make you realize that going to your current school may not be that bad after all.
You see, parents may not know best all the time, but they definitely want the best for their kids. Make them understand your side but try to understand their side, too. Good luck!
