Inclusion, whether in a group or toward a common goal, brings people together.
Exclusion creates divisions, all of which inhibit the common good and none of which need really exist.

Companies usually have a manual that deals with this. They also sponsor lectures or programs for the employees so they will comply with the law.
Not doing this leaves them more open to lawsuits based on discrimination.
