you can read the notice closely. You will find the deposit
is "in the event" or "if you are selected" or some such
qualifier of that deposit statement.

They send all sorts of things that make it look like you've won. The idea is that you start to look through the paperwork and the baloney that comes with it, and then you'll see that it COULD be you that wins the amount on the fake check. The odds are exceedingly slim that you'll win, and you do not have any winnings right now.

Be sure to read through everything and recognize the misleading advertising.
