i am doing a science activity in a nursery (3-4 years of age) as the planning for the week is based on a teady bears picninc i decided the children coould have a go at making jelly.
any left over jelly i was going to put in the water tray and let the children play, obviosly some of the children might try to eat it, just i case this does happen i would like to know if the jelly is okay to eat after 2 days (kept in fridge)

Thanks for the clarification. In my previous answer, I was referring to homemade jelly (as in jelly & jam).
Prepared gelatin (more commonly known for the brand name Jell-O) maintains best flavor and consistency for 2 to 3 days when it is stored covered in the refrigerator. After that, it may still be safe to consume but may become rubbery due to the evaporation of water.
