Resizing movies for iPod Video?

I have a video iPod but I've never really watched video on it. How can I get my current DVDs, YouTube videos, and video podcast files resized so that they can be watched on my video iPod?

I'm running Windows so I'm looking for Windows programs that provide one click resizing and reformatting to the appropriate video format for my iPod.

Get Handbrake. It will do everything, including ripping the DVD and converting it to the right format and size. It also has handy presets for common handheld devices.
