Halloween is coming up and I was wondering if anybody had some good pumpkin carving tips that they would like to share.
I've always done the usual cut a hole in the top, scoop out the insides, and then cut triangles for eyes, nose, mouth, etc. I'm sure there are tips and tricks that people have figured out from carving pumpkins year after year.
So, anyone got some good tips or how to's on carving cool pumpkins?
My favorite method is to cut the hole in the top, then clean out the innards, then just scrape the outer skin of the pumpin into the desired image with a spoon. the inner flesh of the pumpkin lets light through, so the image will be there, but the pumpkin wont rot as quickly.
