In my opinon, I believe that the inital F letter represents F=Frank L=represents the first inital of his middle name"Lloyd" and L=represents the second position in his middle name {Lincoln) and W= represents the first letter in the last name.

Online states that Frank changed his name from Frank Lincoln Wright to Frank Lloyd Wright. Changing of the name due to his parents divorce. Even thought don't sign his name Frank with two "L's" I think that society just adapt that his name is Frank Lincoln Lloyd Wright
