In the medical field, these are three important contributions that chemistry has made: (1) Prevention (2) Treatment (3) Cure.
Prevention uses chemicals to vaccinate or immunize us so that we don't get illnesses like measles, tetanus and chicken pox etc..
Treatment uses chemicals to help people with infections, diabetis, and asthma etc..
Cures use chemicals to take away illnesses altogether, like the cure for tuberculosis and malaria etc.
