I really don't watch this show but my son and sister does..
Here's a review of season 5 that you may wish to read
returning, Joely Richardson was back - with a surprise - in steamy lesbian sex scenes with actress Portia de Rossi (currently the real life main squeeze of Ellen Degeneres.) .
Rosy O'Donnell also returned as lottery winner Dawn Budge. This season she became romantically involved with guest star Oliver Platt, the former West Wing star who will play the executive producer of "Hearts and Scalpels", a soap opera in which McNamera & Troy become creative consultants.
This season's evil temptress, Eden played by teen actress Anna Lynne McCord, first appeared in episode 3 and stuck around for the rest of the season to wreak havoc upon Sean, Christian and Julia.
The shocker of the season? From the beginning, all we knew for certain was that a major character was predicted to die, and it wasn't going to be pretty. With the finale that aired on February 19 (and talk about SHOCKERS - and a MAJOR CHARACTER!!) it's Sean who's been brutally stabbed by his insane ex-agent Colleen, played by Sharon Gless.
But wait....will Sean survive? Meanwhile, is Eden finally going to take her revenge on Julia, who has awoken from a coma to remember nothing of Eden's attempt on her life?
WHAT NEXT??? Nip/Tuck Season 6 is slated for a summer 2008 premiere, although no official air date has been announced yet

Nip/Tuck Season 5 and Season 6 Predictions
Although FX's hit show Nip/Tuck's fifth season is coming to a close on February 19, Michael Ausiello's blog on TV Guide.com has announced that production for the sixth season has already been slated for the summer of 2008. No airdate has been announced yet, but with the writer's strike in the can, everything should move along as scheduled.
After a less than eventful fifth season, what could be in store for season six? Another killer like the Carver? The loss and return of old characters like the McNamara clan? It's hard to say.
It's also hard to say whether or not viewers will be awaiting season six as fanatically as they did for season five. The events that unfolded during this season were less than stellar, in comparison to seasons passed.
While Kimber (Kelly Carlson) and Matt's (John Hensley) stint with meth, or Eden's (AnnaLynne McCord) attempt at Julia's (Joely Richardson) death (which will be the highlight of the season finale) were slightly interesting, they left me starving for the next week's episode like I had felt in previous seasons.
Will McNamara and Troy end up back in Miami? Doubtful.
It does seem to be the case that Christian (Julian McMahon) has returned to his old ways after a short stint at trying to be the nice guy. At the same time, it seems that Sean (Dylan Walsh) has moved on to the dark side, and won't be making a return trip any time soon. The next season will probably feature Sean continuing to be corrupted by Hollywood, until a shining revelation occurs, where he realizes the error of his ways.
It also seems, that if they don't kill off Julia in the season finale, that the shows producer is setting her up to try and patch things up with Sean.
Will he take her back? Probably not until she's tried to make it work one more time with Olivia (Portia de Rossi).
In season six viewers will probably also see a return of the recently absent Annie McNamara (Kelsey Batelaan). And what about little Connor McNamara, the McNamara's youngest? It's hard to say
