"AFLAC has expanded its sports trivia advertising to include interactive trivia features on ESPN.com, CNNsi.com and CBS SportsLine.com.
"We recognized an opportunity to extend the AFLAC Trivia franchise to the web via high-reach consumer sports sites. We were determined to create a presence that truly engages our consumers in a unique format. What has evolved is interactive AFLAC Trivia games, on ESPN.com, CBS SportsLine.com and CNNsi.com. These partnerships have not only created a fixed AFLAC Trivia element on the sites, but have also provided broadcast promotion to drive traffic to the games," said Nik Mainthia, executive vice president, chief media officer for Fitzgerald & Company, AFLAC’s advertising agency.

The CBS SportsLine.com and ESPN.com sites provide weekly prizes for the top scorers. In addition, the CBS SportsLine.com interactive trivia game offers grand prizes, including trips to the NCAA Championship Game, NCAA Basketball Final Four and Major League Baseball All-Star Game. All three sites have links to AFLAC’s Web site.

In response to AFLAC’s sponsorship, AFLAC President and CEO Daniel P. Amos said, "We are pleased to have this opportunity to expand our sports trivia sponsorship to ESPN.com, CNNsi.com and CBS SportsLine.com, and we hope individuals enjoy playing, while learning more about AFLAC in the process."
