Garnished income in New Jersey

If I live in New Jersey, can my income be garnished over an unpaid doctor bill?

if its from a state hospital or a state doctor but not a private doctor they can only put a lean on your property

That all depends. IF the unpaid doctor bill turned into a "judgement" (through the court), then the doctor becomes a judgement creditor.

If he has the ability to locate your assets, property, or income, he has the right to attach to one or more of those to satisfy the debt.
