thank you for your answer. Didn't think about that aspect...was just going on the average coffee maker..most people it seems make their coffee between medium to strong...mine, I don't like it real strong, but enough to keep me awake....lol Thanks again

If you do run into real strong coffee just add a little hot water at a time until it is the strength you like. I told a friend that who always complained about how strong I made it "I never thought of adding hot water" was the response, no more complaints. It is easy to weaken strong coffee but very hard to strenghten weak coffee unless letting it sit for hour in the pot--uuuullkk
