You might try twirling the pencil like a baton to get a start on controlling the pencil between your fingers. Otherwise practice and try and try again is all you can do.

There isn't anything impossible if you give it a try. You might not succeed at first but later you would get it, tricks are actually simple when you give it a keen look. I checked out the video you provided but there are also some other videos which show how to learn to spin a pencil.

try this video slowly with a pencil in ur hand. firstly dont bother about ur failure.just try it with different styles. u can twirl it with ur thumb and index finger also. so just check first how u feel comfortable.
if u r left handed, try to do it with left hand.

once u get little bit perfect, then u try using this video techniques and then be a master of twirling any thing whatever u want.
but, believe in urself is biggest life mantra to learn anything which seems to be impossible for u.
