I mean it is pretty self explanatory and seems to be well organized but you know people always seem to have trouble with the simplest things. If you ask the question and someone makes it a groupask question, it sounds a little strange to answer your own question and claim the groupask reward? After all, it is your question and it would be self serving to answer your own question.

From my understanding, the whole point of groupask is to get attention around a single question by getting multiple people to pony up rewards. The idea is that more money = greater attention which should give more answers and increase the likelihood of finding a great answer.

The best groupask question from a while back was the one about getting out of a speeding ticket. Someone put up the question because they got a ticket. Other people wanted to know the answer so they ponied up more rewards until it turned into a $20+ reward. This attracted a lot of great answers and we all learned something useful.

If you wish, you can partly blame me. I am not all that interested in money and try to answer all as best I can. Periodically I quit answering so as not to hog the site. But the askers know they will get a lot more answers if there is a reward. Maybe not better quality, but greater quantity. Back when there was $5 to join, some just put it on questions. Since the operator gets 15% I am sure he would like more.

I had this suggested to me once and I thought they were not nice.
I will never win the most questions since I refuse to ask more that one third easy ones. and I just do it to stimulate others to ask. Now that there are more questions than anybody can answer I think that rewards will be more common if people want answers.
One more thought. I like the way that you and I and some others take care of their answerers by choosing a best answer and a comment. The operator claims that there is a penalty for not choosing a best answer, but I can back figure and know that it doesn't work. Not everybody follows this policy.
If the site is good and the improvements of the operator have made it the best site on the internet, the rewards will follow.
Last thought. Nobody knows really what the best formula is. Look at the failure of some sites. Just a matter of some experimentation.

Group ask Questions are good as here you are oblidged to keep rewards and then askpedians can select best answer which again is good as automatic selection of best answer is not appropriate.

If you see a really interesting question, you can click on the "Join GroupAsk" button to join the asker in asking the question. This will then convert the question into a GroupAsk question and you will get notified when there are new answers.

Joining a GroupAsk question requires you to provide a Question Reward but the benefit is that you get to vote on the Best GroupAsk Answer. As an asker, you also get the benefit of increasing your Question Reward and therefore attracting more attention from the community. The more people particpate in the GroupAsk, the greater the chance in getting great answers from everyone in the community.

best way to get a better answer for ur question is asking it as Groupask question.it will create more interest if it is asked with a great reward amount. even wtihout a higher reward tag, asker will have atleast better options to get right answers.
