electronical troubleshooting for 1998 ford mustang gt

the car won't crank because the anti-theft light is flashing on the dash. The car is in failsafeand i need to know if i can bypass the system so the car will start. if i can't bypass it then can i reset it or something ? Please help me because it is my girlfriends car and she will not complaining .

Check your owners manual. If you dont have one; go to the Ford site, register and you will be able to view it.
