It is best to go through the court system to CYA make sure you dont lose your rights as a parent. The cost of doing this without a lawyer is probablly 25 dollars for the paperwork and filing. You will have to go back to court to regain full custody whenever your situation subsides.

You go about it very carefully depending upon whos asking you or him. For one you can only get temporary custody of a child if you are proven unfit as a parent or the child is unsafe where he is now!!!!!!!!! You are innocent until proven otherwise
