Can I use a 2006 First Class Stamp on Postage today?

I have a roll of stamps that I want to use but I don't want to assume that the stamp is good.

If the stamps have the old value on them 36 cents, 40 cents, etc, you won't be able to use them since first class stamps now cost 43 cents.
If the stamps just say First Class, they're forever stamps and you should be able to use them to mail first class stamps forever.
