Who does the District Attorney answer to?

I was beat up in a Chucky Cheese on 3/23/03, i was having lots of postponed hearings due to the other side, the last one in 2006 the da said he would refile i asked how do i know when its done he said i am the da i said it would be done, well its 8/07 not heard a thing, cant reach him who do i call, i was hit in the head with a skeet ball and had damages, i want to presue this who do i call

They say you can't fight city hall so I don't think you're going to have much luck.
A better approach might be to contact your local TV station or newspaper to see if they're interested in featuring your story. If you're able to get some attention from the media, I'm sure it will get bumped up in the DA's priority list, especially if there's a re-election coming up....

You have asked a big political question. The practical answer is not to very many people. What they say pretty much goes. The legal answer is the State Attorney General and what mechanism they set up and to the state bar association and what mechanisms they set up.
The practical thing for you to do is to write a letter to the district attorney's office. It will probably be looked at by someone on staff. This way you will have a record of inquiry. Put your telephone number in the letter...
