LASIK Surgeon Recommendations
Asked by: jweston from BURLINGAME, CA
After doing all the research, I'm now ready to take the plunge and get LASIK.

I'm looking for LASIK surgeon recommendations in the bay area. I'm interested in finding out which doctors have the most experience and fewest complaints, as well as the types of procedures they provide.

Also, any advice on interviewing LASIK doctors and selecting the right doctor would be appreciated.
Additional Details added (06/29/07):
It looks like there's a variance in costs between doctors. When recommending doctors, it would be great if you could provide approximate costs.

When I had my surgery, I didn't have any complications and it was pretty much standard. I had dry eyes for a couple of weeks but it was pretty minor ...

Wow, there are already two good answers so I don't have much to add. The only bit that I would add is that if you're about to go through a major medical procedure, you should do a background check on the doctor. Every state has a Medical Board that handles complaints and issues disciplinary actions against doctors.

The California Medical board has a website where you can review any doctor...
