That's a no brainer, "my loved ones" which consists of my family, my friends & my animals. Nothing else matters without them.

family... my wife.. the woman i couldn't imagine being without. my son with his son. my daughter now in collage. and my brother that i talk to every weekend for hours on end. (verison free on weekends- out of state). after losing my best friend which was my dad, i so missed the conversations with him. he died two years ago at age 83. you just don't have those kind of relationships with people you work with or live around. school chums move away and get distant but the family will always be there.

The obvious answer would be my family, but aside from loved ones, there are other less tangible things that are even more important. Honor comes to mind. Character is another. We are nothing to ourselves or others without the honor and character that our parents tried to instill within us from childhood on. The yardstick by which we are measured throughout life is the honor, character and decency that sets us apart from everyone else. These are the examples that we set for our own children in hopes that they can learn and grow into even better people than we ever aspired to be. Therefore, I guess that the most important thing in my life is to be the best role model and inspiration for my daughter that I can be, based upon the stellar examples that had been shown to me.

Hi jude6265, My name is ashley and im 21 years old, during my life ive had alot of people and things that i thought were most important to me. As a kid it was either a pet, a new toy, or my favorite grandma that always made me the best cookies. During my long and tough teenage years it was friends that i thought would stay around forever, a high school sweetheart i thought i would marry, or the college applications i hopefully sent in with only prayers of being accepted in my thoughts. Even now as a new adult ive learned some tough lessons about whats important in life. About 2 years ago my beautiful daughter riley was born and from that day up until not long ago i put her and her father before everyone and everything believing them to be most important in my life. In that amount of time i made some really big mistakes, letting my childs father abuse me emotionally and physically, and putting my carreer and education on hold to stay home with my daughter believing it was wrong to leave her. Those mistakes and others i dont have time to mention caused a snowball effect in my life which almost left me with nothing, not even self respect. But those mistakes were actually blessings in disguise, and now i believe i know what is truely the most important thing in my life. Im sure alot of people answering this question will say family, or money, and hopefully they wont have to learn the hard way like i did, but either way, to me, the most important thing in life is myself. In believing that, my life has changed completely. im no longer in an abusive relationship, i have a wonderful job i love, but am also going to school with hopes of one day having a career, my daughter goes to daycare 5 days a week which has helped her to blossom more in 1 month than ive seen since she was born, and ive also learned that i can be alright without a man in my life and that im the only one that can fill the void i always thought i had. I dont want anyone to get the wrong idea, i love my family, especially my daughter very much, but in time ive realized that without loving myself even just a little bit more than others, i could never truely take care of the ones i love and give them everything we all know they deserve. well, i hope my answer was everything you were looking for and i hope someone somewhere gets something out of it.

The most important thing in my life is Jesus and God. I know that Judes is not a believer but she is in my prayers and also her husband.
Next in importance is family and friends and she is lucky to have a friend like you who will do this for her.
We will miss her contributions to the Askpedia family in her own chatty style.
Miracles do happen and perhaps she will recover. Please let us know what happens.

Judes,I knew something was wrong but I didn't know what. And then we had to shift from Perth to Albany and couldn't get back on the net for 3 months.I want to make you that nice stirfry dish again and would love to see a pic of your much loved dog that you walked every day.I want you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you always,wherever you are.( no I'm not bible bashing HaHa !) Let's never forget the fun we had with Demon and when it all comes down to it ,the most important thing in life is Love.We will always be here for you and your loved ones,remember the holiday house in Albany,well it's still here on the property,and you are welcome any time to stay as friends.

I believe that the most important thing in my life is inner-peace. Sure, it sounds simple, but it's the hardest thing to maintain in life, and the one thing everyone puts effort into maintaining or achieving. Without it your blood pressure spikes. Without it you find yourself eating more junk food, or just being generally unhappy. I'm still young, and I know I have a lot to learn, but maintaining my inner peace has brought me more comfort and joy than anything else, and when I lost it in certain times in my life, everything that used to seem very valuable lost its luster.

The most important thing in my life is my son, next is my sister and my mother, cause this is all i do have in this world. so I would have to say it is family. When everything and everyone is gone from you and all you have is family that is whaqt is important to you. ♥
