In the spring but take a hard wood cutting, not a new shoot. Cut the base on an angle and dip into hormone powder which is available at any garden center.Plant in a pot of seed raising mix and keep away from any direct sunlight.Do not fertilise until roots are well developed (you will know this when the plant starts to grow. Also when you take the cuttings, trim off all large leaves and just leave a tiny bit of green on them and keep moist, don't allow soil to dry out....
