Yes you are right i heard some askpedians were harassing you for being a top user but they are wrong as you answer almost every question here so it's not unfair you are a top expert if they want that position they should work for it!! I answer some questions now not all but some that's why i don't go up on the experts list but that's on me!! So anyone complaining SHUT UP!! lol!

In my opinion, the subject (asker) question was to be "funny" but the content of a word (unfair) being used as blame for others getting to first base in answering questions on the site. This sent a "red flag".

Everyone has the same opportunity in answering questions but the claim was " intersection of time zone". I don't see a fault in time zone for not getting to first base. If one wants to get on board with others "get alarm clock" :-)

I think that the main issue was fairness if competitions were held, if I'm on the same page as you are. I see the point and cannot make a suggestion that would satisfy all. :( Peronally I haven't participated in any of these competitions so I'm not aware of it's inner workings.

Is it? I have no idea. I use this site as a recreation and as I type I am currently doing lesson plans. It's a good distraction and sometimes gives me ideas. That's about it though. I don't quite understand the fairness issue. How can it be unfair?

My understanding is that having four stars is what makes you a top user on this site. Since everybody who answers some questions gets four stars, I think that is an excellent way to do it.

We don't all have the opportunity to answer all the questions we want. But it doesn't make that much difference. For technical reasons I only have dial-up and a sometimes balky computer. Since that ties up the phone lines, I only have the early morning, the lunch hour and sometimes late night to check my mail and answer questions. But I can still get to quite a few and my home page still says I am number one in all three respects. which I will happily relinquish to anyone who wants that.
I think that it is not just giving answers, but giving the most documented good answers that makes a top user, as well as asking some really good questions.

Well it's fair enough for me to stumble upon for the first time tonight and keep me entertained for the last two hours :)
