Power On

Just about every day, sometimes more than once a day, my home computer with Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2 installed, powers on all by itself long after I shut down normally and without any problems. I am baffled at this point, checking everything and everywhere I can think of, so can anyone help with suggestions to stop this? Thank you!

I have already checked all settings related to power, start up, faxing, etc., and it still powers on by itself frequently.

go into the power settings and see if anything is set funny.
control panel > power options.
