Can a two term US president hold any other elected political office such as mayor, governer, etc?

Yes, but most see any other political office as a backwards career move.

The one answer I receveied partically answered my question. If the answer is yes, does that mean a two term US President can be apointed a position such as speaker of the house or another post which could put him in line for another term?
