ive rent a shop am behind with my rent also my exhusband rents a flat above the shop and ows rent the landlord has got bailiffs in and he has added my exhusband rent arrers on with mine i dident sign a contrac for the flat only the shop plus i got no notifcation or warning about the bailiffs coming is this legal

In my opinion, the landlord should have entered agreement with you and your ex separately. Each of you should have separate contracts. If you have separate contracts with the landlord, you should point this out to him/her. Please check with landlord and tentant laws for your state/country and consult an attorney who specializes in this area....
