i was hired in june 1, 2007 and was fired on sept. 1, 2008. there was no contract because they never issue one and have been accustomed to this system. My employer is a diplomat. since he is not good in english, sought the help of his staff who can and knows our language. his staff said that i was fired last august 24, 2008. it is no true because if he did i would have heard and understood it. I will not be going to work if he did told me so. i worked for my employer as family driver for 1 yr. & 3 months., I believe i can't be fired just like that. His staff was capitalizing that there was no contract & that it was an advise from a lawyer. True that there was an absence of a written contract. Upon his acceptance of me as family driver through the recommendation of my previous (3rd) diplomat employer, a contract had already ripened. The elements of a contract were allready present.
does my employer has the right to do this to me. I've read Article 31 subparagraph c of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, 1961 that the immunity privilege is only limited within his official function and also Article 41... respect the laws & regulations of the host country. they have capitalized so much on this immunity.

I am not a lawyer. Since you didn't mentioned what country you reside in, you need to check the International Employment Law for your country
