can i have my sons father added to birth certificate even if he is dead

my son was cremated 1 week before his girlfriend found out she was pregnant. i am 100% positive that is my grandson .becouse they wernt married she couldnt list him as the dad.being his next of kin & mother, can i have his name put on the birth cert.

The father's name would be on the birth certificate - it would be unsigned by him (of course) say he is deceased. See an attorney dealing in family law.
