I start with the non-perishables, like health and beauty aides, automotive, household cleaners, then bread, produce, canned goods, bagged goods, deli, meats and frozen foods. I shop at my favorite store-Wal-Mart.

I try to start at the back and work my way forward. which means: soda, paper goods, HBA, cheese/dairy, can goods and frozen foods. Then on top go the produce and bread.... I don't want them to be damaged. It also depends on which store that I go to. I have a different approach for the smaller supermarket that I visit for "quick stops"

Start at the far end and go a quick as possible, look at no-one so you don't get stopped to chat.Frozen foods, canned and dried foods, dairy products, meat and vege and then run for the shortest queue at the checkout.I hate shopping!!
