My daughter came home with health work sheets which discussed all types of birth control, as well as different kinds of sex. I think she now knows more than I do. I was a bit upset about the graphic nature of the material. I want them to know the importance of sexual responsibility, but I think some of the information they were given was too explicit and not age appropriate. Sperm is pretty much part of the typi...

Communication between teens and their parents about sex is pretty much non-existent Parents are in the dark about their children's sex drives and basically refuse to believe their kids would ever even have sex. (Evidenced by "Not my daughter/son" attitude) Parents don't want their children educated on sexuality, gender differences, or anatomy of their own bodies. So children uses the internet as an online sexual education.

If I thought the question was legitimate, I always answered with accuracy and respect and directions to more good information. I give the asker credit for having the curiosity to want to know and I want to encourage that.
Many parents don't have the time and perhaps the knowledge to give good information.
That makes us the new parents. Treat your responsibility with the dignity ...

Most of the Questions like those are asked by little fools who just want to play around! I don't think they DON"T know what it is but some might actually be serious about it!! I guess it's just embarrassing for parents and kids to talk about it i think it's best to be taught in school in a class about it it's way better for the kid!!
