how do you get out of a rental lease

i want out of my lease because im not in a safe enviroment. tw days ago my neighbors had a party that ended in gunfire in my front yard. also they throw things at my dog when shes outside they throw garbage in my yard when they play basketball they hit my house and my car with the ball i just cant take the aggravation or stress any more. i also dont want stray bullets hitting me and this is not the first time they were shooting or fighting what can i do

I have a few questions first. Are you in an apartment or renting a house? If you are renting a house then your landlord is not liable for what your neighbors do. On the other hand if you are in an apartment complex then your landlord has certain duties to you. Aside from that you need to read over your lease carefully. There should be a section about terminating the lease, if not then you need to speak with the landlord directly.
