It may help to sit down with your daughter one on one and talk to her about "why" you took her privleges away. Explain to her that you care about her. Sometimes asking her what she would have done if she was in your place helps.

If she protests, take more priveleges away until she figures out that the more she protests, the harsher the punishment!

I may this that when a child does have attitude against his parents when his or her privileges are taken away, the best solution is just to love her. explain to her the why's of your actions.
Put her at her /his place and try to find out what is wrong first with him/her then by there you can know what is wrong.
yes punishment is good but sometimes it doesn't help. to solve a problem you have to start by it roots....
