Has anyone had black soot stain walls and carpet from a gas fireplace?
Asked by: jeaston19 from -
I have a new house and my ceiling is striped. When I remove pictures from the wall, it leaves a square. The blinds are dingy as well as the trim. I have repainted the mantel and I can write my name in the tile. I have had the logs professionally cleaned and it continues. I want to solve the problem and repaint. Please help!

When repainting your house consider going for colours that hide stains well like deep reds and blues etc and using surfaces and paints that can be washed down. You should also look at other alternatives to a gas fireplace as they are quite messy if that is economically via...
