I work with a woman we were hired on the same day we hold the same position. sales associate. use to work the same rotating shift. now all of a sudden she needs special hours because she can't find a baby sitter in over a year she can't find a sitter. so now she gets every other saturday off while the other associates have only one. now she no longer available to work all 3 shifts she can only work 2 out of the 3 is this legal ? does this violate the fmla?

It doesn't seem fair! But if she has a baby (young child), they can't fire her for not having a sitter! It's the same as not being able to fire a woman because she's pregnant! Personally, I think they should give her a set amount of time to get suitable child care so she can work the same shifts as everyone else!
