In addition.... I like to freeze things and write on the package the contents of the frozen block of freezerburned "stuff". The marker always gets on the cabinet.... cheap hair spray will take this marker stain from your cabinet. I have also used hairspray to remove Sharpie Permanent marker from clothing.

To clean silver: put a piece of aluminum foil in the bottom of a dish [I used a stainless steel bowl.] place your silver in the bowl on top of the foil. Add boiling water and baking soda. The soda will brighten the silver/remove the black... may need repeating. Rinse and rub with cloth.

Hydrogen Peroxide is good on Blood but ZOUT is better.
Add salt to water when boiling eggs. Bring cold water to boil, turn off heat, cover and let stand for 10 minutes, rinse with cold water and peel immediately. Beautiful eggs with no dark yokes.

Cold water removes blood from clothing better than anything. Hot water turns the proteins in it to glue-like substances that adhere to the fibers.

As for Grandma pouring boiling water over a stain - I must have had the same Grandma because she is STILL insisting that I do this. That was years ago when there were no other resources.

Sure, I TRY to treat a stain (with a commercial cleaner), but boiling water just doesnt work anymore.

A. Only if your linoleum is completely white, but you may do more damage. It may just be in the finish that comes on the floor. You can try stripping the floor, but then you would need to put a new finish back on. Our Top Gloss works great and puts a nice shine on the floor.

A. We have a Microfiber towel that when used with plain water will take off tar. There is no chemical involved, so it will not hurt your clear coat.

A. I would use a grout sealer instead of car wax. Re-apply once or twice a year to keep stains out of the grout.

A. You can use our Dazzle. It will help fill in scratches and make it easier for you to clean.

A. We have a product called Dri Foam that would work great for furniture and car upholstery. Just work it in with a soft bristle upholstery brush, let dry, and vacuum.

A. You can lift the dirt off with a dry sponge. Flat paint is hard to clean, but a dry sponge will pull of the dirt. It won't remove fingerprints. They are used extensively in smoke damage, etc.

A. An odor neutralizer our XO, can be sprayed in the air and in the microwave to neutralize the smell.

A. Use an extractor with cool water spray it and just keep sucking the water back out. You can use a pre-treat to help break down the hairspray. Just make sure you DON'T use HOT water.

A. The only way that you will be able to conceal light scratches would be to use a floor finish on the floor. If it is deep gouges nothing will fix it.

A. Microfiber is the best thing I have found to remove hairspray from hard surfaces. Just wet the towel and wipe. Keep rinsing and wiping until the hairspray is gone. It doesn't take long and does a fantastic job.

Q. How do you remove candle wax out of a glass jar?

A. You can boil the jar and that would loosen the wax and then you can wash it. You may also be able to use De-solv-it to remove the wax. Spray a cloth and wipe the inside of the jar.

A. Use a neutral cleaner and/or a Microfiber cloth. Our Clean & Brite is a great neutral cleaner. Mix about 1 oz per quart spray bottle. It is amazing.

A. Use an all purpose cleaner and the two bucket method. One bucket is to wring out your dirty water and one for your fresh cleaning solution. You can either use a towel or the Scrubbee Doo with a wet mop.

Q. I just moved into a brand new house and we just purchased mini-blinds. What's the best way to clean them and keep dust from building up?

A. Use a lambs wool duster on a regular basis and get the dust before it bakes on. Make sure you roll the blinds both directions when dusting them.

A. If the soil is stuck on you do have to take them down and put them in the tub or driveway and use a degreaser.
